Collecting Food for Family SharingThe Community Services committee within the M-T Sunrise Rotary is busy planning its next community endeavor!
Throughout the entire month of February, we will be collecting non-perishable food items to help support Family Sharing of Ozaukee County. Family Sharing’s client base is comprised of Ozaukee County residents, which includes low-income families with children, the elderly, and those who deal with serious physical and mental health issues.
The food supply is at a critical low at this time of year, and every item you donate is much appreciated (Please check to be sure that none of the items are expired). Please bring your non-perishable food items to our weekly Rotary meetings on Fridays throughout February. Additionally, we are placing barrels at the BMO Harris Bank locations on Mequon Rd. in Mequon as well as on Main Street in Thiensville. Our M-T Sunrise Rotary logo will be proudly displayed with the barrels so everyone can see all of the wonderful projects we do to help support and strengthen the community. Thank you for your support in helping those less fortunate living right here in our own backyards. Let’s help give everyone a warm meal that can enjoy with their family! |

Rotary Clubs of Palo Alto and Palo Alto University Partner for FlagsFirst we need to know how the mass of hell is changing in time. So we need to know the rate that souls are moving into Hell and the rate they are leaving, I think we can safely assume that once a soul gets to hell it will not leave. Therefore, no souls are leaving.
As for how many souls are entering Hell, lets look at the different religions that exist in the world today. Some of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell. Since there are more than one of these religions and since people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all souls go to Hell. |

Last Tuesday we were treated to an informative and enlightening experience at the Selkirk Hotel in the Fort Edmonton Park.
Thanks to Eric Germain, we convened our regular Tuesday meeting at the Selkirk and were hosted by two extraordinary Rotarians, Jeff Polovick and Jim Greenough, both past presidents and the Driving Force behind the proposed Hotel Selkirk expansion and establishment of a Rotary venue.
It is proposed the Park be updated to the tune of $150 million over the next five years. The idea of Jeff Polovick is to rejuvenate Rotary's presence and involvement in the park and incorporate a 'Rotary House' as part of the Selkirk expansion. The estimated cost of the Rotary component is about $15 million.
The Rotary House would include a historical gallery of Rotary's initiative and involvement in establishing the park (read Linda Granholm's story below).
This historic project should appeal to all Rotary clubs in the district, but in particular, of course, the Metro Edmonton clubs, of which there are over twenty.
This club has participated in the annual Fort Edmonton spring clean-up for a couple of years and we look forward to additional volunteer opportunities in the future.
